Photinia Red Robin
The leaves of the photinia are the highlight, but attractive clusters of white flowers appear in spring followed sometimes by red berries.
To achieve a thick garden hedge, you must trim early but the final height is easily managed. The more this hedging plant is cut, the more the vibrant red shoots appear.
Soil and Situation: Any well-drained and fertile soil – feed in spring with a standard fertilizer if your soil is poor and/or shallow
Maintenance: Easy to maintain – prune lightly all year round to maintain shape, the desired height and to keep the new red growth coming
Versatility: Plant for hedging or in a container.
