A compact, mound-forming evergreen shrub with small grey-green leaves that give it year-round structure. It stays tidy without clipping, making it ideal for borders, rockeries, low hedging and containers.
From late spring into early summer it is covered in short spikes of lilac-blue flowers that draw in bees and butterflies.
It likes full sun to partial shade and free-draining soil, copes well in coastal and urban gardens, and is drought-tolerant once settled in.
