‘Little Adder’ is a tidy, upright perennial grown for its near-black stems and short, bottlebrush spikes of deep violet-purple flowers. The whole plant is aromatic when brushed.
It flowers into early autumn and is a magnet for bees and butterflies, working well in borders, gravel plantings and containers, or as a long-lasting cut flower.
Grow it in full sun with sharp drainage — it dislikes sitting wet over winter, so a free-draining spot is key.
