A vigorous, clump-forming perennial and one of the most striking of all crocosmias. Upright fans of ribbed green leaves are topped in high summer by branching stems of intense flame-red flowers.
Flowering from mid to late summer, it makes a dramatic focal point in a border, draws in bees, and is superb for cutting.
Grow in full sun in moist but well-drained soil; it is tough, hardy and easy.
