Grey-green leaves edged in creamy yellow that blush pink and deep red as the weather turns, with lime-green flower bracts carrying red-orange eyes from late spring. Compact, bushy and holding colour all year. Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

The euphorbia with the prettiest mix of rainbow-coloured foliage and flowers, and a must-have if you are after year-round colour and texture. ‘Ascot Rainbow’ suits a cottage garden and a tropical terrace equally well — a changing palette of gold, green and pink leaves with unusual lime-green blooms. A favourite here at HedgeXpress for adding light to a planting plan.
Foliage: grey-green to blue-green leaves with creamy-yellow margins, blushing pink and deep red through the colder autumn and winter months.
Flowers: lime-green flower bracts with distinctive red-orange centres, appearing from late spring into summer — typically March to July.
Drought-tolerant once established. Cut old or spent flowering stems back to the base in late summer or spring, taking care not to damage the new shoots coming through.
Please note: the milky sap is toxic if swallowed and is a strong skin and eye irritant. Wear gloves when pruning or handling the plant.
