It is also deer and rabbit resistant, making it a great choice for gardens in areas with these animals. ‘Praecox’ is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of temperatures and soil types, and is best grown in full sun to partial shade. It has an RHS hardiness rating of H7, meaning it can survive temperatures down to below -20C. It is a great choice for borders, rock gardens, and woodland gardens, and can be used as a cut flower.
