Our mixed native hedging bundles bring together classic British species — a fast, wildlife-rich country hedge at the most economical price.
Sold in several sizes — tell us what you need and we’ll confirm price and availability.
A traditional native mix supplied as bare-root transplants: the most cost-effective way to plant a long run of hedging. The plants are mechanically undercut after their first year and grown on for a second season, so they arrive robust, well-rooted and ready to establish quickly.
A mixed native hedge gives you far more than a boundary. The blend of species flowers and fruits across the seasons, feeding pollinators in spring and birds and small mammals in autumn, and provides dense nesting cover — exactly the habitat a single-species hedge cannot offer.
Bare-root stock is lifted and sold only while dormant, so it is available from mid-November to mid/late March. Plant into prepared ground as soon as possible after delivery, keeping the roots moist at all times. For a stock-proof hedge, plant a double staggered row.
Not sure how many you need for your run, or which mix suits your site? Give us a call — we plant these for a living and will work it out with you.
Every plant we sell is backed by four decades of growing. Tell us about your garden and we’ll tell you honestly whether this is the right plant for it.
