Prunus lusitanica ‘Angustifolia’ clipped into a ball is a refined evergreen feature plant. The narrow leaves are small, glossy and dark green, and the plant is naturally dense, so it holds a soft but clearly structured outline all year round.
In that clipped form it brings real architectural interest to formal gardens, patios and entranceways. One on its own makes a smart evergreen focal point; several together give rhythm and symmetry to a structured layout.
It thrives in sun or partial shade, performs reliably in most well-drained soils, and once established it tolerates urban and coastal conditions well. Hardy and low maintenance — it needs only occasional trimming to keep its crisp rounded shape.
Every plant we sell is backed by four decades of growing. Tell us about your garden and we’ll tell you honestly whether this is the right plant for it.
